About Us
Mathen Mappillai Memorial Public School was founded in 1991 and through all its glories past years has taken pride in the education of students from all sections of the society. Initially the school was started to serve the interests of the local community and the children of weaker section of society. The members of the Pakalomattom Thazhamon Society for rehabilitation and development, a charitable society registered under the Charitable Act,1954, decided to start this social venture to cater to the needs of the society. The school is named after the ancestor of the family, Mathen Mappillai who by chance came to Ayroor, on his mission to look for his brother who had been somewhere around Kozhencherry area during that time.
Mission and Vision
To promote the educational and cultural interests of the community. The school is deeply rooted in human values, irrespective of colour, creed, caste or religion. It is bound to nurture respect for the traditions and values of India. Each child is to be fosterd with quality education, healthy practices, mutual respect and compassion to fellow beings.
Aim
- To ensure that children acquire the kind of academic excellence which will lead them to the understanding of concepts and principles so that the search for knowledge becomes a life-long quest.
- To acquire a positive attitude to life and patterns of behaviour required to live in harmony with other individuals and with nature.
- To develop the total personality and help the child to be anchored in the cultural heritage of our nation.
