Admission

Mathen Mappillai Memorial Public School was founded in 1991 and through all its glories past years
has taken pride in the education of students from all sections of the society.

Admission Procedure

  • Fill-in the Registration form. (This does not guarantee admission).

  • Attend the counseling session with Principal and Senior Teachers.

  • Candidates wishing to join in class 1 and above will have to be successful in the written test given.

  • Interview session: Obtain the date from office.

  • Present certificate proving date of birth, issued by the Panchayat and the Transfer certificate from the institution, attended last.

Fees and other Payment to School

Though a number scholarships are available for deserving students, it does not excuse them to delay payment of dues in time.

Withdrawal

No school leaving certificate will be issued unless applied for in writing after all the dues have been cleared.

Dismissal

A student maybe dismissed on the following grounds:

  • Irregular attendance
  • Habitual idleness
  • Disobedience or defiance of authority
  • Malpractice in connection with examinations
  • Lack of sufficient improvement in conduct and studies even after warnings
  • Conduct injurious to the moral tone of the school
  • A student who fails more than once in the same class shall be removed from the rolls.

Attendance

  • No student shall be absent from class without sufficient reason.
  • Parents/ Guardians must clearly state the reason for the absence in the Leave Record of the Students Academic Planner. 
  • Students are not allowed to go out of the campus or to the college canteen during school hours, including recess time. 
  • Those who absent themselves without prior permission shall not enter the class without the Principal’s permission. 
  • Students are not permitted to avail leave for social functions, tours, holidays while the school is in session. Similarly students are not allowed to remain absent on the first day of opening and closing days of long breaks or special holidays. 
  • Unauthorized absence of more than 15 days will lead to removal from the rolls. 
  • Students suffering from contagious diseases will not be permitted to attend school.
  • In case of serious illness the Principal must be informed within 5 days and a Doctor’s certificate submitted.
